Theme: "The other side has another side."

The theme of our event is "the other side has another side." The other side of a problem is a solution, and living in a mostly rural region of Atlantic Canada with a declining population and a loss of major industries has forced a lot of people to take action. Moving forward to a more prosperous future is an ongoing process and it isn't a miracle that's going to solve problems in this part of the world, but creativity.

That's why TEDxBrasd'Or is going to be about looking beyond simple solutions and instead exploring creative, ingenious and even "out there" solutions to solve problems across a wide variety of disciplines. It is our hope that these talks will help Cape Bretoners think of new ways to look at issues facing our island.
