This is a talk about the relationship between our conscious and unconscious memories as a cause of a conflict between human intentions and actions. Specifically, the lecture will focus on how the social brain influences identity, and defines ‘Who We Think We Are’ as an image that is often distinctly different from whom we really are.

Dr. Menis Yousry

Dr. Menis Yousry is a psychologist with over 20 years of experience in the field of personal development. Having begun his career as an artist, designer and actor, his interest in human potential has led to the creation of the Essence Foundation, a non-profit organization established with the purpose of enabling people to understand themselves. While grounded in academic research, Dr. Yousry’s approach may be described as a fusion of Eastern and Western practices.
