As of 2010, the population was 1,748,066; making it the second most populated county in the state. Its county seat is Fort Lauderdale.It is also the eighteenth most populous county in the United States. Broward County is one of three counties that comprise the South Florida metropolitan area and boasts an International Airport & Port/Harbor, Beach, Colleges, Arts & Entertainment District all within a 15 minute or less drive of each other. It is also home to a number of vibrant cities, towns and villages that has something for everyone to explore and cultivate their dreams and ideas.
Scheduled for Saturday December 10th 2011 . TEDxFtLauderdale is an effort to drive and showcase the creative economy that is emerging in Broward County and to create an avenue to forge the organic interactions and collaborations between the many stakeholders that call Broward County their home.
TEDxFtLauderdale’s mission is to connect and inspire individuals and communities in Broward County by sharing ideas worth spreading.
