With more than 25 years of active engagement in promoting women's rights and gender equality she is the leader of Women’s Movement in Nepal. Ms. Rana is one of the founders and the CEO of Saathi, a pioneer NGO working on violence against women and girls in Nepal. She founded Sancharika Samuha (Forum of Women in Media) and Iraq. She is also leading the coordination of a South Asia Women's Alliance for Peace and Security (SAWAPS).
She believes in creating opportunities, saving lives and promoting peace for a just and equal society.
