Created in the spirit of TED’s mission, “ideas worth spreading,” the TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.

Come and join a conversation on “Engaging the Mind” with like-minded people here in the Treasure Valley.

We will explore how humans can reach their mental potential or have it limited.

Doug Covey

Doug is the CEO of Blueprint Education in Boise which is a nontraditional, nonprofit learning organization whose mission is simply to provide people with the tools they need to succeed. Prior to that he held business man- agement positions with nation's largest outdoor retailer (REI) in Colorado, Washington, and Idaho. He has also worked as research consultant with local and statewide governments throughout the West and has been instrumental in building academic partnerships between Blueprint Education and mental health pro- grams and outdoor education programs on a national level. He co-founded Kids at Hope Association and established joint partnership with the Kids at Hope Organization by creating Arizona's first Kids at Hope Academy for school-aged youth. He is the for- mer Chair of Rotary International Youth Service Committee and member of Rotary World Service Committee.

Mark Russell

Mark is the CEO of Russell Media in Boise which develops products at the intersection of faith, business, money, and the global economy as well as how faith relates to social and political issues. Russell Media’s current publications include Our Souls at Work, Left Right & Christ, Routes & Radishes, The Presidents and their Faith, Transform you Work Life, Wisdom & Wonder, The Best News You Will Ever Hear, The Missional Entrepreneur, and Winning With Money.

Dan Timberlake

Dan is an MBA/Psychologist working with organizations to become more successful through enhancing employee development, engagement, em- powerment, and productivity. Previously he has served as the Director of Counseling Services at Boise State University, Director of the Counseling Department at Lane Community College in Eugene, Associate Director of University Counseling & Psychological Services at Oregon State University, a Staff Psychologist at The University of Utah, and interned at the University of Missouri. Dan is currently an independent consultant and is currently the Vice President of Corporate and Work Place Initiatives for the National Behavioral Intervention Team Association.
