We have Norway's oldest cinema where we gather a great group of people to have TEDxTalks. We hope they will inspire, open up for reflection and give out ideas worth spreading. We will create a great meeting place for the speakers and the audience and the perfect location is Verdensteatret in Tromsø.

Annah Kirah

Anna Kirah is Chief Experience Officer at Making Waves, a digital consulting company based in Oslo, Norway. Anna is an internationally acclaimed design anthropologist and psychologist who has worked in corporations such as Boeing and Microsoft. Much of Anna's work relates to the impact of the digital lifestyle on companies and organizations and the subsequent changes in how we meet the demands of the people we serve. Anna's trademark is the people-centric approach to innovation and the user experience, which requires the involvement of users in the design of services, products and organizational change. Through involvement, we create meaningful, relevant and desirable solutions that bring value. In addition to Making Waves, she sits on the board of Design Without Borders, which applies the people-centric approach to solving challenges in developing countries.

Cecilie Hellestveit

Cecilie Hellestveit holds a PhD on Humanitarian Law and Non-international armed conflict at the Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo. Her Phd-dissertation at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo (2014) concerned the rules of conduct of hostilities in non-international armed conflict. Hellestveit has previously worked at PRIO (Peace Research Institute, Oslo), and NCHR (Norwegian Centre for Human Rights). For the past two years she has been a part of the Gulf Research Unit at the University of Oslo, with a particular focus on Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Hellestveit served as the special rapporteur on conduct of hostilities in military operations to the International Society for Military Law and the Laws of War 2008-2009. She is a board member of the Norwegian Refugee Council (since 2011), and a regular foreign analyst in the Norwegian weekly newspaper Morgenbladet (since 2006).

David Parrish

David is a creative industries expert and specialist business advisor for creative businesses and cultural industries organisations. He is a creative industries management consultant and an expert on the management of businesses and organizations in the creative and digital industries.

Erik Stenman

Erik Stenman (1978) is an architect/ landscape urbanist residing in Oslo, Norway. After receiving his Master’s degree from the urbanism institute at the Oslo school of Architecture in 2007 he started work with Franco Ghilardi and Ellen Hellsten (Ghilardi+Hellsten) and joined as partner in the office in 2012. Approaching Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape as a common discipline he has been instrumental in several successful designs and competitions. Notably the winning entry in the international design competition for the relocation of Kiruna, where he is currently Partner in charge.

Kriss Rokkan Iversen

Kriss Rokkan Iversen has a Phd in marine system ecology from the University in Tromso with a special interest in arctic waters. Kriss started the company SALT in 2010 that works with sea culture in arctic waters.

Rosie Von Lila

Culture Builder and Storyteller, Facilitator, Author - The Von Lila Framework Rosie is a force of nature positively impacting the lives of awake souls the world over who are ready for more. She is a passionate and powerful voice of hope and reason, here to inspire others to embody resourcefulness, resilience, playfulness, generosity, and transparency. She speaks around the world on how to increase citizen/participant/human engagement. Rosie wrote The Von Lila Framework to inspire people to build a more beautiful world by shifting from being “passive consumers of life” to active creators and producers of solutions, and by building “the human network” — connecting the dots of individuals and communities who are out to make life on this planet better for all.

Svein Spjelkavik

Svein Spjelkavik er ordblind, skallet og 100 kilo. Han er mannen bak Rock Mot Rus-festivalen på Andøya. Festivalen har vært rugekasse for Moddi, Tungtvann og Madrugada. Rock Mot Rus har vært arrangert hver år siden 1983 og regnes blant de viktigste rockefestivalene i landsdelen.
