TEDx is all about bringing together people from the worlds of Technology, Entertainment & Design (and education), in order to spread and share ideas.

After the first event, which has taken place in 2011, this year TEDxFryslân will organize a second event on September 17 in the Frisian city of Drachten (from 10.00 A.M. - 18.30 P.M.).
The theme of the event in Drachten will be 'Work Hard, Play Hard'.

An inviting, beckoning perspective
In 2018 Fryslân has found ways to establish a sustainable relationship with her environment. We proved to be able to make ourselves energy-neutral and – with respect for existing core qualities, and relying on small-scale help from people in our networks and from professionals – to develop care concepts with strong connections to the things that color our lives: our own culture, language and identity. This has deepened and enriched our culture with an accessible mindset and an open look at the world, Europe and the world being sources of inspiration to us and – in turn – we want to inspire the world around us.
