In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Jérôme Petit

Biologist
Jérôme un environnementaliste éclectique. Suite à ses études d’ingénieur agronome à Lyon, il a par la suite participé à de nombreux projets en Australie, au Népal, au Burkina Faso et au Colorado. Il est arrivé en Polynésie française en 2005 pour lutter biologiquement contre l’infâme « mouche pisseuse » à l’aide de la fameuse « micro-guêpe ». Il a ensuite coordonné par la suite plusieurs projets en Polynésie française et pour la Commission européenne. L’appel du fenua a ramené Jérôme en Polynésie française en 2013, pour diriger le bureau de l’association internationale Pew à Papeete. La mission de ce bureau est d’assister le gouvernement et de soutenir la société civile pour faciliter la création de grandes réserves marines dans les eaux du Pays, en particulier aux Iles Australes. Michaël "BatMike" Roponus

Drummer, Music profesor
Michaël, « BatMike », began learning music at the age of 6. Volunteer teacher from the early age of 15 and then began playing in various bands in the Nord Pas de Calais region - Rock, Rai, Jazz... After a curriculum in Agostini schools - drum schools, he left school and started practising intensively in live conditions. Members of several bands: Om Mani, Demians and Hacride, with whom he toured across Europe, Asia, Scandinavian countries and Africa. He recorded several albums and was still brushing up his teaching skills. Founder of the « Bat'School », at the same time, he formed "les tambours du fenua", an urban and body percussion ensemble designed to show the rhythms to people by using everyday objects. The ensemble helps develop all five senses, team spirit while enjoying the surprising world that surrounds us every day. That is the purpose of tambours du fenua.

Robert Oliver

Ambassador Chef, Le Cordon Bleu, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands
Robert Oliver is a New Zealand chef who was raised in Fiji and Samoa. He has developed restaurants in New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Sydney, "farm to table" resorts in the Caribbean and food programs feeding homeless people and African immigrants with AIDS in New York City. Robert returned to the South Pacific to write his first book, Me’a Kai: The Food and Flavours of the South Pacific (Random House, New Zealand), with Dr. Tracy Berno and Fiji photographer Shiri Ram, written with a development mission to connect Pacific agriculture to the regions tourism sector. Robert is Chef Ambassador for Le Cordon Bleu, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands and is the presenter of REAL PASIFIK, a television series based on the food culture of the South Pacific.Robert is appeared as one of the judges in the New Zealand version of the hit prime time cooking show “My Kitchen Rules”. In 2015/2016 he is co-hosting the Maori cooking show “Marae Kai Masters" (Maori TV).

Tehama « Coco » DEANE est gérant d’une société locale de construction de bateau en polyester depuis 1999. Impliqué dans la vie de sa municipalité et des activités économiques locales, il est également conseiller municipal depuis 1989 à la mairie de Arue. Ancien pêcheur professionnel et Représentant des pêcheurs de poti marara dans le syndicat des pêcheurs professionnels de Poti Marara créé en 1982 à ce jusqu’en 1990. Tehama « Coco » DEANE is the general manager of a local shipyard, building boats made of polyester since 1999. Committed in the life of his community and on local economical activities, he’s also councilman for the city of Arue since 1989. Wilfred Johnston

Wilfred Johnston, né le 22 novembre 1994, passionné des nouvelles technologies et d’intelligence artificielle étudiant au Studio Poly3D à la CCISM en première année. Wilfred Johnston was born on Nov. the 22nd, 1994. He’s passionated about everything related to new technologies and artificial intelligence.
