In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ahmed El Kamash

Professor of Chemical Engineering
Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Radioactive Waste Management Department, Hot Laboratories & Waste Management Center, Atomic Energy Authority of Egypt. Chairman of the Radioactive Waste Management Division, Atomic Energy Authority of Egypt. He received his Ph.D. degree in Radioactive Waste Management from Chemical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt. His research interests include different aspects of radioactive waste management, including radioactive waste treatment, conditioning and disposal.

Ahmed Farag Ali

Assistant Professor - Physics
Assistant Professor at Benha University, Egypt. Obtained his PhD degree from University of Lethbridge, Canada in January 2012. He got his B.Sc with Excellent with Honor degree from Benha University in 2003. In Sept 2006, he joined ICTP, Trieste, Italy and got ICTP diploma in High energy Physics in Aug 2007. In 2008, He started to work with Prof. Saurya Das at University of Lethbridge, and in January 2012, He obtained PhD degree. His research area is Theoretical/Mathematical Physics and in particular Gravitational Physics. More specifically, He is interested in open problems in Black Holes, Cosmology, Quantum Gravity, Quantum Gravity Phenomenology and String Phenomenology. The primary goal of his current research is to try to extract potential experimental or cosmological observational signatures from various approaches to Quantum Gravity.
