Arash Bayatmakou

Writer, Entrepreneur and Co-founder of the No Limits Collaborative (http://www.nolimitscollaborative.org). Since a traumatic Spinal Cord Injury in 2012 left him paralyzed and turned his life upside down, he has committed himself fully to reach his ultimate goal of getting back on his feet and walking. In addition to his own recovery (www.arashrecovery.com), he has advocated for the needs of other people with his injury who are too often overlooked and unsupported by healthcare companies and the medical establishment. In 2015, he co-founded the No Limits Collaborative, a non-profit aimed at providing exercise, physical therapy, resources and support to people with serious neurological conditions.

Barbara Coombs Lee

American Activist and President of Compassion & Choices Barbara practiced as a nurse and physician assistant for 25 years before beginning a career in law and health policy. Since then she has devoted her professional life to individual choice and empowerment in health care. Barbara’s professional experience includes work as a private attorney, counsel to the Oregon State Senate, a managed care executive, and President of Compassion In Dying from 1996-2004. Barbara was Chief Petitioner for the Oregon Death with Dignity Act. She is a champion for enabling individuals with the freedom to consider a complete range of choices and be full participants in their health care decisions. As President of Compassion & Choices, Barbara oversees advocacy, development, legislative and client support.

David Sedlak

Author, Professor and Director of the Institute for Environmental Science and Engineering at UC Berkeley, Professor Sedlak has developed cost-effective, safe, and sustainable systems to manage water resources, with emphasis on local sources of water, by water reuse– using municipal wastewater effluent to sustain aquatic ecosystems and augment drinking water supplies–and the treatment and use of urban runoff to contaminated groundwater from industrial sites as water supplies. In 1996 he developed simple methods for measuring steroid hormones in wastewater. Since then, he and his students have studied the fate of hormones, pharmaceuticals, toxic disinfection byproducts and other chemicals as well as remediating contaminated soil and groundwater by in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) and advanced oxidation processes. He also is the author of “Water 4.0”, a book offering insight into current water issues by understanding the history of urban water systems.

Deepak Srivastava, MD

Director of the Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease and Professor at UCSF School of Medicine. Dr. Srivastava received his B.S. from Rice University, M.D. from University of Texas, trained in pediatrics at UCSF, and in pediatric cardiology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Srivastava is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine.

Freddy Clarke

Freddy Clarke is a hybrid classical/flamenco guitarist/singer/songwriter his band Wobbly World is a group of musicians and singers from: Bulgaria,Vietnam,Morocco,Cuba,Lebanon,Bolivia,Netherlands and the USA. The guitar he will be playing was built by his father in 1975 and is the first of 50 he built throughout his life. Joining Freddy are Georges Lammam, from Lebanon, playing violin and Alex Kelly, from US, playing cello

Gopi Kallayil

Chief Evangelist of Brands Marketing at Google. Gopi previously worked on marketing the Company’s flagship advertising product, AdWords, in the Americas and Asia Pacific. Gopi also led the marketing team for AdSense, Google’s publisher-­facing product. He has also led large Information Technology projects for global corporations in India, China, and the US. Gopi earned his Bachelors degree in electronics engineering from the National Institute of Technology in India. He received his Masters in Business Administration degrees from the Indian Institute of Management and The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is an avid yoga practitioner, triathlete, public speaker, global traveler and Burning Man devotee. He has spoken at TEDx, Renaissance Weekend, The World Peace Festival and Wisdom 2.0. He hosts a TV program on cable and YouTube called Change Makers.

Warren Farrell Ph.D.

Dr. Warren Farrell is an American educator, activist and author of seven books on men's and women's issues., including the international bestsellers, Why Men Are the Way they Are, plus The Myth of Male Power.  He is the only man in the U.S. to be elected three times to the Board of the National Organization for Women in NYC. and he is Chair of the Commission to Create a White House Council on Boys and Men. Warren has appeared on more than 1000 TV and radio shows, including numerous “ratings periods” for Oprah. GQ calls him (2015) the Martin Luther King of the men’s movement. Warren is currently co-authoring with John Gray the forthcoming The Boy Crisis.
