In a morning of inspiring talks and conversation, a specially selected audience
of young people and creative thinkers from across the Southwest will hear from
people like Martin Herd. A founding member of youth-led online TV channel
Chew TV, Martin has been an active social entrepreneur since he was 15. In
2008 Martin joined Real Ideas Organisation (RIO) as an apprentice IT support
technician.

Martin recently took part in the Global Fellowship programme, spending six
weeks in Brazil where he got to grips with the impact of education, business
and opportunity outside of the UK. He is currently working with RIO, identifying
and developing technology products and services for educational and social
enterprise markets. Martin has given numerous presentations about social
enterpreneurialism to young people, from Exciting Minds 2006 in Manchester, to
his most recent at City College Plymouth.
