TEDxTampaRiverwalk was held August 30, 2014 at the John F. Germany Library Auditorium. Our inaugural adult TEDx program at the John F. Germany Library explored how we Envision our world, Invent the solutions we need to achieve those visions, and Inspire one another to better ways of being and doing.

Said a guest after the event, "SO good, everyone. So VERY soul-achingly good. Thank you SO much for sharing your time and passions with us."

TEDxTampaRiverwalk moved and inspired, connected and impassioned us. Can't wait to do it again!

Faculty Mentor and Executive Career Coach at the University of Tampa, will present “Why local markets are fooled by the appearance of gap skills.

David Harro

David Harro, a professional geologist from Odessa, FL, is the inventor of a patent pending geophysical technique call the Multi-Electrode Resistivity Implant Technique (MERIT), will share a look at innovative Geophysical imaging science.

Evan and Adison Julian

Abrother and sister musical duo from New Port Richey, FL, they perform as Promenade Action. They tell their stories with music, a mix of Indie, Pop and Folk, that are positive, uplifting original songs for motivation and perseverance.

Dan Meyer

Dan Meyer is a 35x world champion sword swallower, was a finalist on America’s Got Talent, winner of the 2007 Ig Nobel Prize in Medicine, and the “world’s leading expert on sword swallowing”. He is president of the Sword Swallowers Association International, based right here in Tampa. His topic is ” Extreme Fears to Extreme Feats.”

Kim Moore

Kim Moore, is Principal of Middleton High School in Tampa, and a coach, teacher and speaker with the John Maxwell Team, who led an urban school with over 10,000 annual discipline incidents into a U.S. Department of Education Turn-around Model School, Magnet School of Excellence. Her talk is titled, “Transforming Schools for Student Engagement: The Main Ingredient.”

Mark Lombardi-Nelson

Mark Lombardi-Nelson is a recent graduate of the University of South Florida, and an Account Executive with VIP Software. He lives his life by two personal mission statements. “1) I will consistently challenge myself for the betterment of others. 2) In my life I will produce, provide, and be a service.” His topic is his energetic and highly engaging, ” Challenge a Month” idea.

Monica Stynchula

Monica Stynchula, CEO and Founder of Dovetail Care, Inc. , of Tampa, and has twenty five years professional experience in health and human services. She believes “Baby Boomers are redefining what it means to age in our community,” and her topic is ” Aging as an Adventure of Active Engagement.”

Joe Yazbeck

Joe Yazbeck , President of Prestige Leadership Advisors, believes in the importance of “ethical, competent and productive leaders who become powerful communicators improving our world.” He is the author of “No Fear Speaking.” He’ll talk about ” No Fear Speaking: Authentic vs. Synthetic Presentations” and why they’re important.
