Thousand kids are evaluated yearly based on formulaic criteria, ending up being labeled as “bad students”, a sad statistic that seems to perpetuate. Even among their “good student” peers, it’s questionable whether motivation stems from inspiration and eagerness to learn and to inquire, or from a well-learnt routine and plain parental discipline.
