The Lies We Tell Our Children

Many a time we take blessings for granted including people we may love. The current world is mostly concerned about production and consumption. Maybe the reason we tell all the lies we do because we are constantly becoming material. Our consciousness is dying and it is no longer about people and the planet but profit at all costs. Particularly, the current crop of leaders do not give a damn about conservation and environmental justice. Today water is the most sought after commodity and most abundant resource the universe has. Out of the 70% water available on the planet, only about 3% is fresh for drinking. There is only 1% that is easily accessible as the populations keep growing. We continue to vandalize the planet. Rob our children's future. The very children we take to school to learn science and statistics we totally disregard. What do this negligence and the lies we tell, mean to the future generations? If we care about those we love, we will begin acting differently and probably avoid the next world war over water. There is some hope! However, time is running out. We must move from complacency to urgency and save our water future. IT IS US!!!
