India has a tribal population of around 100 million people which is almost equal to the one-third of the total population of the United States. While India is emerging as one of the leading economies globally, at the grass root level, its deprived tribal communities are still facing unfortunate realities. In this talk, Sumir Devaguptapu, a Certified Public Accountant who left his lucrative job at the financial district of Manhattan, New York and relocated to a tribal village in Central India, shares his experiences about a unique working model of socio-economic transformation and how this model is transforming a tribal forest area into a smart tribal village cluster.
