n 2018 Typhoon Manghut alone destroyed more than 30,000 tonnes of trees in Hong Kong which went into landfill. While feeling painful as it is, it was contradicting to find that Hong Kong imported tonnes of timber boards and furniture from China and other countries for construction and interior use every year, while killing and dumping our own trees to landfill, 200 tonnes per day to count. Ricci Wong, Founder of HK Timberbank, will share the idea to save the local timbers felled due to weather or development, and his secret recipe to recreate and reroute the path of these natural resources brought back the spirit and memory of Hong Kongers.
2018年，颱風山竹破壞的本港樹木，當中大約三萬噸送入堆填區。縱使如此可惜，我們仍然每年從內地及其他地區大量進口以噸計的木材、木製家具作裝潢及家用，情況矛盾。與此同時，我們卻不斷將至少每日二百噸樹木草草送入堆填區。
