Ricardo, known to his friends as Fraia, is 10 years old and is in the fifth year at Colégio Visconde de Porto Seguro.
He is a calm and cheerful boy. He is very communicative and likes to make friends. In addition, he loves sports. He practices swimming, taekwondo, soccer and horse riding.
Since he was little, animals have been a part of his life. This is one of the reasons he fell in love with horse riding and has been practicing since he was three years old.
Always concerned with the well-being of people and animals, Ricardo chose to address the topic of hippotherapy at TEDxKids@PortoSeguroSchool, defending the importance of people with special needs who can benefit greatly from treatment.
He believes that the world would be a better place if all people, especially those with fewer financial resources, could have access to hippotherapy for a better quality of life.
This talk was given at a TEDx event, which uses the TED conference format, but is organized independently by a local community. To learn more visit http://ted.com/tedx
