Parminder Vir is an Indian-British Executive who spent a good number of years in Africa. Having lived and worked in Africa, mentoring and funding entrepreneurs through the largest entrepreneurship network in Africa, the Tony Elumelu Foundation as its CEO, she shares how African entrepreneurs are changing the narrative. To her, the young African entrepreneurs are not just rewriting the narrative of the continent, they are the narrative.
With the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), it is believed that young businesses will have access to more opportunities to build global companies to solve African problems, employ more people and transform our world. More than anywhere else, the resilience, creativity, and persistence to thrive irrespective of the circumstances are what places African entrepreneurs above their contemporaries.
