Our contemporary culture of networking is causing our politics to become increasingly competitive and detached. Networking has become a barrier to progress and continues to prevent people, especially youth and people of colour, from entering certain spaces. To generate a better political future, we must change the way we connect with others -- building genuine relationships instead of simply swapping business cards.
