建国时代，建筑背后.. Building Merdeka

1957 年独立前后，10 项代表建国精神的建筑物纷纷建立，专研默迪卡 (独立) 建筑的建筑史学家赖启健博士透过分享建筑物的小故事，解码先贤建筑师们如何在有限的资源下，承载着国父东姑阿都拉曼对于国族建构的期许，再结合精湛技术、前卫创意与本土元素，建造出具有国家创立理念的不为人知事迹。 Dr. Lai Chee Kien, a registered architect and researcher on the history of architecture in Southeast Asia, shared stories on how the pioneering architects in Malaya helped to achieve Tunku Abdul Rahman’s vision of our new nation in the years before and after our independence was gained in 1957. Working under limited resources, they managed to combine ingenious techniques, authentic ideas and local elements to create buildings that leave a legacy of our nation’s founding principles until today.
