Jean-Louis van Gelder is a professor of psychology at the department of Psychology of Conflict, Risk and Safety at the University of Twente. His academic work focuses on how societies can be made safer.
Aside from his academic research he is also interested in how technology such as virtual reality can be used to improve people's well-being. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
