Ian Mayer Imagine if you could not fail?
About the speaker: Married to Alyson Mayer, Ian is a Deputy Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, author of “Are We Brave Enough?”, and an entrepreneur who connects strategic leaders, to see positive influence and community transformation.
Why you should listen: What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail? Looking at the world through a different lens, allows us to go further.
When we begin to look at things differently, when we break out of our routines and constraints, we are able to go 'beyond expectations'. Shaped by a traumatic childhood event, and a number of life challenges Ian talks about how resilience, combined with creative thinking and faith can shape our personal futures for the better. This talk looks at how what is sometimes perceived as the inevitable, can be shaped and even changed, and how adverse outcomes can be avoided by looking at situations and life differently.
Just because something is, it doesn't mean it always has to be. Ian challenges us all, to look beyond ourselves, and to actively search for that which can bring transformational change in our lives, not only making a difference to us, but to those around us.
