The Miss Congeniality competition was created to honor contestants who were selfless and went above-and-beyond to help others as pageant organizers knew the likelihood of "the nice girl" winning was pretty low. Sadly, the same is true for most workplaces. Combine that with the fact that women are taught to be "the nice girl" from day one and we are stuck with a lot of women not achieving the professional heights they desire. This talk discusses how to banish "The Miss Congeniality Complex" and ensure you have the career you want and deserve.
