The Snowflake Phenomenon describes the excessive use of the term “snowflake” to fault younger generations and liberal political groups for being too “oversensitive.” From political leaders to best-selling authors, this simple word has grown into an attack, an insult, and a mechanism against other people’s offense. Although the term itself sounds meaningless (afterall are snowflakes ironically not ice formations?), it is obstructing our discourse. At risk of being called a snowflake, this talk asks you to melt this phenomenon.
