"'Bite-Sized' Videos Generate $95 Billion in Output"
This BCG report is the first one to examine on a global scale the economic and social impact of short video. The findings suggest that short videos generated an estimated 95.1 billion dollars in economic output and created roughly 1.2 million jobs globally in 2019. Moreover, these bite-sized videos provide joy, community and emotional support — which has been especially evident in the midst of the pandemic. They also unleash human potential by inspiring creativity, helping educate and train the next generation of the workforce and engendering individuals' sense of self-worth.
