A low-cost and effective way to monitor air quality
Ling Jyh Chen • TEDxTaipei

Air pollution is a challenging problem that is of great concern to residents of Taiwan. Ling-Jyh Chen's team has created a high-precision sensor that can immediately detect the surrounding PM2.5 particle levels in the air. More than 2,000 of these portable units have already been deployed throughout Taiwan. Data collected from these sensors is publicly available to the open source community. Find out how this project is transforming the views and behaviors of many individuals.
