Development versus conservation and preservation | Germán Corzo | TEDxBogotá
Germán Corzo • TEDxBogota
Germán is a marine biologist who has dedicated his life to showing his country and the world that Colombia's true value and competitive edge lies in its biodiversity, given that it is formed of two-thirds natural areas and one-third developed areas, as well as being home to the most birds and butterflies in the world.
To this end, his work focuses on investigations which act as an informed source so that the process of decision making can take into account the relevance of conservation and preservation of the richness and natural diversity in Colombia. His work is, therefore, a fundamental factor in guiding the creation of the country's public policies towards a sustainable future.
