Jeffrey Araula has faced discrimination and unfair treatment in his international teaching career for being a non-white, non-native English speaker. In this talk, he questions why when teaching students about equality and justice, we are not using diversity among teachers as an example. In a passionate delivery, Jeffrey calls for action to change the perception of who is 'qualified' to deliver a good education, and how diversity at the front of the classroom can generate change outside of it.
