Zhengchun Peng |
TEDxPuxi
• November 2017
Zhengchun Peng describes a world in which a projected 10 Billion robots will co-exist with people in homes and work places. When robots can touch like humans and identify emotions through facial expressions and skin temperature, will robotic touch replace human touch? Zhengchun Peng, a researcher developing robotic touch technology explains why touch is so important. He has spent the past 15 years working at the cutting-edge of microscopic sensor technology in the U.S. and China. As the Director of the Center for Stretchable Electronics and NanoSensors and an endowed professor at Shenzhen University, he leads a research team focused on developing wearable sensors for human health monitoring and electronic skin for robots.
