Yuko Shirakawa, who works for Doctors Without Borders, has been to conflict zones around the world where she was surrounded by blood, tears, and screams of innocent people. Moreover, as resources and medicine are limited at such sites, it led her to rethink the power of nursing to be something other than medical care or treatment.
