Liu Yan is a social entrepreneur, a system innovator and a learning facilitator. For over 15 years, she has co-founded and led in many innovation ecosystems and platforms in China, the Netherlands, Australia and Southeast Asia, to bring people from different sectors, disciplines and cultures together to listen, to dialogue and to co-create, including the first coworking center Xindanwei, and first bilateral incubator program to gather 200 Australian and Chinese top youth leaders - China Australia Millennial Project.
Currently, Liu Yan serves as the Program Director at Base of Pyramid Hub in Singapore and leads the Joint Initiative of social system innovation by BoP Hub and the National University of Singapore, which is a venture building and acceleration platform for learning, applying and scaling new ideas generated through systems thinking towards tackling complex global challenges and enabling transformative change for the people at the base of the pyramid.
