We spend too little time creatively thinking about controlling what we can control and too much time worrying about what we cannot. Serendipity plays a major role in what happens in our lives but we often miss the opportunities it brings because we’re so focused on solutions to which we are often unnecessarily committed. Cultivating the practice of engineering serendipity improves the chances that we can experience a future that is even better than what we can imagine.
