Thomas and Victor Cruz Lutes combined their affection for their blind great-aunt and their passion for mathematics and technology to develop a braille clock prototype to assist visually impaired people. Students from Colégio Santa Cruz, Victor and Thomas Cruz Lutes are twins who lived in Canada when they were six to ten years old. Both are engaged in volunteer work: Thomas teaches English, and learns "maracatu", a Brazilian musical genre, at Pró-Saber, a Brazilian NGO in the community of Paraisópolis, and Victor contributes to digital inclusion by teaching young people and adults at school, and together they have helped in the impact business, 4YOU2.
