There are materials in the Amazon Rainforest with properties only known to a select group of individuals – the shamans of the Amazon. Through her research in the region, working with native people to uncover materials that can revolutionize and green-up the world, Talia Khan has come up with a vision to save the Amazon. By economically disincentivizing deforestation and working with native groups who know the land best, we will be able to protect the world's hotbed of biodiversity and greatest carbon sink – the Amazon.
