My Lagan Love is a traditional Irish air collected in 1903 in northern Donegal. The River Lagan is a major river in Northern Ireland which runs from the Slieve Croob mountain in County Down to Belfast where it enters Belfast Lough, an inlet of the Irish Sea.
This interpretation of Hamilton Harty's arrangement of My Lagan Love by Síobhra Quinlan & Ásthildur Ákadóttir introduces a melancholic fragility into the beauty of this traditional tune.
