Gender discrimination is a topic on which we can never say enough. Each of us hope that one day, someday, the world will become a more equitable and balanced place, where rights, opportunities and destinies will not be decided by chromosomes.
As educated and reasonably liberated people, we easily condemn and gather unanimous consensus on issues and incidents of gender crimes. However, when it comes to our day to day practices, we allow gender discrimination to seep in in more subtle and covert ways.
Worse, we condition the little ones in our family and around us with gender stereo-type beliefs that are restrictive and can even be detrimental to our vision of a more gender balanced future world.
