動物園究竟扮演什麼角色？是圈住野生動物的枷鎖？還是提供教育與保育的地方？攝影師羅晟文啟動白熊拍攝計畫，走遍世界各地飼養北極熊的動物園，試圖探討動物園的定位與價值。
他希望透過此計劃提出以下問題：養北極熊的目的為何？是為了教育，還是純粹給人類的娛樂？
Since 2014, photographer Sheng-Wen Lo has been closely examining polar bears that live in various zoo habitats around the world. A number of these large animals have one thing in common: they've all shown signs of abnormal repetitive behavior. In this thought-provoking talk, Lo challenges us to think about the rationale for the existence of zoos.
