The world reels with hunger on the one hand, and massive food waste on the other. Separately, alongside food waste is the Himalayan problem of piling heaps of plastic waste! Shakti Yadav brings an intelligent and innovative way to solve all of these three problems at once. His journey started in the quite unrelated field of life insurance advice. But soon, he found his calling in the social welfare and sustainability sectors. He has had the opportunity to work in Goodfellows, one of the First Companionship Startups mentored by none other Shri Ratan Tata. His journey these last three years with the NGO - Buy Food with Plastic - is the tale he narrates in this talk.
