Reclaiming humanity in a polarized world

In their talk, Helen and Sebastian Winter highlight dialogue work as a key toward cultivating a mindset of embracing difficult conversations rather than avoiding them. In the setting of rising societal polarization around the world, they argue that we can and should reclaim a part of our humanity through re-engaging in genuine interpersonal dialogue that can enable mutual understanding and foster societal cohesion. Drawing upon their personal and professional experiences across law and medicine, the siblings give insights into their work with R3SOLUTE, a Berlin based non-profit organization that provides story sharing, conflict competency, and mental health literacy workshops directed at providing refugees and community members with the skills of effective conflict management and prevention.
