Robin Lewis spent 1 month walking 614 km along the Sanriku coast – from Aomori to Fukushima, Japan. becoming one of the first people to walk the length of the “Michinoku Coastal Trail”. He believes that every person should take a walk along Tohoku’s coastline, at least once in their lifetime, not only to explore Tohoku’s scenery, taste its delicacies, and enjoy its rugged outdoors but to meet its people. His personal encounters can provide invaluable lessons about the 3.11 disaster, people’s resilience, hope and ideas that can change our perception.
