Being asked to change your name because it’s too hard to pronounce, being told your qualifications
aren’t relevant, being told that you should lower your expectations due to your gender, race,
nationality. For many, facing such prejudice is sadly a common experience. Professor Uzo Iwobi OBE shares her experience of moving to the United Kingdom from Nigeria, facing such prejudices, and how these experiences motivated her to make historic changes and path the way for racial equality in her community.
