Esino Lario is a small village with 700 inhabitants overlooking the Como Lake. Thanks to the leadership of Pietro Pensa, civil engineer and Volunteer Major of Esino Lario, and the cooperation of the whole community, Esino hosted WikiMania, the annual worldwide conference of Wikipedia. The story of his whole little town is a powerful demonstration that with participation, planning, involvement, willingness and imagination even the impossible can become possible.
