Human experience: evolution, emotion and environment design
Oliver Jones |
• April 2019
Oliver will take a journey to understand how humans experience environments, from the city scale to our homes and workplaces. Bringing together human evolutionary theory with theories from environmental psychology to behaviour theory, Oliver will discuss how behaviours and emotional responses to spaces are formed; how we’re still influenced by our hunter gatherer instincts in today’s information landscape and how our changing environment shapes our behaviours. Our renewed focus on health and wellbeing is influencing cyclically changing economies, changing the design of our cities, homes and workplaces for the better.
