Music is loved universally - everybody listens to music, but not everybody feels like they can really enjoy making music. Whether it’s due to lack of space, money, time or skills, learning to play a musical instrument is not very easy.
Pasquale and Nathan from Odd Studios took this as challenge – how do you make laying down a beat easy, intuitive and fun for everybody? How do you make playing a musical instrument as easy as bouncing a ball? And this is how Oddball was born.

With Oddball, making beats is easy, intuitive, fun and can be done wherever you are. It comes in two parts, the ball, and the app. The bouncy ball behaves as a percussion instrument and works as a Bluetooth MIDI controller. Every time you bounce it, trow it, spin it or catch it, sensors at its heart ‘speak’ to the app via Bluetooth and trigger a sound through your phone, headphones or any speakers you connect. Oddball is pressure sensitive, that means the harder you bounce it the more intense the sound, the lighter you tap it the more delicate.
The Oddball app gives complete control of the sounds you play. With expansive audio libraries you can choose between traditional drums, electronic music, or any other ‘Odd’ sound under the sun. You can loop your beats to make complex, intricate tunes, you can play over your favorite artists and, to make the experience even more fun, you can play with multiple balls.
Oddball is for everybody, from the super skilled beat maker to the musically challenged bedroom DJ - it is something inherently sharable, to enjoy with everybody around you and to share with your community.
