Artificial intelligence has evolved immensely over the past decades and it has become quite obvious that the possibilities are endless. Deep fakes -- an AI-based technology used to produce or alter video content so that it presents something that didn't occur -- represent an incredible feat and shows how close we are to the AI takeover. The AI doomsday may not be our only worry as Prof. Mithali Thakor explores the problems that accompany the advent of deep fakes in our contemporary society.
