The more data we unpack, the more storytellers we need
You don’t need a science degree to be able to decode data - our brains are hard wired to find story and narrative (even in the most complicated data sets). The magic formula: complicated – simple – interesting. If you have the ability to translate content from something that is complicated (messy, dense with facts and no narrative) to something simple (that everyone can understand) and then make that interesting enough to hold people’s attention – then you have the ability to change the world. Just because you are not analytical, technically or scientifically minded – doesn’t mean you don’t have a crucial role in unpacking large data sets, especially in the corporate setting.
