Public speaking can be a terrifying task for many. Creating safe spaces for students to practice public speaking—peer-to-peer—can help students to overcome that fear, while creating the possibility for connection and professional development within the university setting and beyond. As Meg McConnaughy describes in this talk, “The ability to speak your mind, promote an idea, advocate for a cause, or reveal a discovery is a fundamental part of human existence.”
