For thousands of years the ocean has been a flourishing beacon of biodiversity, the full breadth of which humanity has yet to explore. However, recently human behavior has begun to infringe upon the areas in which this sea life resides, causing the environment which supports these animals to collapse. In his talk Mason explores not only the effect that humanity has had on the reefs around the world, specifically the Great Barrier Reef, but also how humanity can reverse this process of destruction.
