Luis Rodrigues, Ph.D. |
TEDxConcordia
• September 2017
Can you imagine any connection between drones and art, or between drones and music ?
This talk will share a few ideas relating these multidisciplinary fields. After a brief historical review, the work performed in the lab of Prof. Rodrigues on the use of drones for light painting, and in response to improvised music will be detailed. A video performance will be shown.
Professor Rodrigues holds a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University. His research focuses on the control and trajectory planning for flying vehicles, and on the multiple connections of flying machines to performing arts. The research performed by his group has been published in several journals and has appeared in multiple venues, one of which was the recent Concordia Tedx 2017 event.
