Lisa examines the current teaching of enterprise within schools and colleges and suggests an alternative way of designing the enterprise education curriculum which would redress the female entrepreneurship gap in the UK and for it to be more inclusive using intersectionality and feminism as a lens. She argues that enterprise education is currently deep set in a competitive pedagogy which plays to competitive strengths in boys’ attitudes to learning, however results (much like in sport education) in a ‘winner’ or winning team and many ‘losers’.
